“Purveyor of fine Electronic Music, infectious fun grooves, drum machines and fancy stuff.”
Thats how Kingston describes himself as a Producer and DJ. Having grown up on a crazy mixture of underground east coast Hip-Hip, Electro, Breakbeats and Contemporary Christian music, Kingston’s musical style is all his own. Kingston has been a DJ since DJ’s played real vinyl records and no one heard of these things called MP3s. He spent his nights playing countless clubs and parties rocking the crowd and scratching records. Kingston’s father holds title to one of the biggest disco songs in history. Kingston’s love for Electronic Music started as a kid in his Dad’s studio banging on drum machines and synthesizers. Today he’s still doing the same thing, constantly rethinking and remixing music, producing original tracks, blending and bending genres, scratching records….and banging on drum machines and synthesizers.
Kingston loves to share and be active in the music community. He has deep knowledge of the production tool Ableton Live and enjoys teaching and sharing production tips. Kingston collects drum machines, synthesizers, art, and all sorts of geeky studio gear to continue to bend and reshape his sound. Basically he’s a bit nerdy about studio tech.
“For me its all about the groove. When I’m listening to music, all I hear in my head is how I would flip that in remix and infuse my style of electronic music into it. I’ll play and write any genre from 80s CCM to underground House music as long as its grooving and gives me and the crowd that head nockin’ high feeling when music hits you just right”
